Made from healthy adult donkey blood as the raw material, it is aseptically collected, separated, and packaged using microporous filtration. After aseptic collection, separation, and microporous filtration, it is a clear liquid with low endotoxin levels and is free of bacteria, fungi, mycoplasma, and other contaminants. It is suitable for blocking nonspecific binding sites in immunohistochemistry or immunofluorescence experiments. Using donkey serum to block protein adsorption sites on pre-saturated tissue sections significantly reduces nonspecific binding of detection antibodies to tissues.

Donkey serum has been used:

• as a component in blocking buffer for immunofluorescence
• in phosphate buffer saline (PBS) as ablocking agent
• as a blocking agent in frozen immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry
• to prevent nonspecific binding inparvalbumin immunohistochemistry
