It is made from healthy mouse blood as the raw material, with aseptic blood collection performed in a closed system and subsequent microporous membrane filtration. It is a clear liquid, free of bacteriophages, with ultra-low endotoxin levels, no hemolysis, no foreign particles, and free of bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma; it is suitable for biomedical research applications, including basic scientific research and diagnostic reagent development.  
Serum is commonly used as a supplement in cell culture media and serves multiple functions: it provides macromolecular proteins and low-molecular-weight nutrients—including amino acids, carbohydrates, and vitamins; enhances the buffering capacity of the medium; binds to or neutralizes toxic components; reduces oxidative stress and apoptosis in cultured cells; and supplies growth-promoting factors that help cells adapt to the in vitro culture environment.
