Embryonic stem cells can differentiate into many cell types in vitro, including endothelial cells, hematopoietic cells, myocardial cells and nerve cells. Embryonic stem cells generally grow on consumables containing trophoblast cells or coated with matrix (such as fibronectin, laminin and artificial basement membrane). Pre-screening of serum is a necessary step before embryonic stem cell culture, which can reduce cell background differentiation and promote proliferation.
